Forward

Forward is a piece built around a clear direction: onward. The cobalt blue surface represents the color of the sky, symbolizing guidance, courage, and the sense of support that sometimes feels as if it comes from above. The blue hue carries a quiet promise of hope and movement, even when the steps forward are subtle.

The canvas is a linen blend, intentionally stretched with the reverse side facing outwards to reveal its warm, beige structure. It is hand-stretched over a handcrafted wooden frame made in Småland, giving the work a solid, tactile, and authentic presence.

Created in 2024, Forward pairs a clean, modern color field with an organic foundation. The result is a piece that feels calm, focused, and spiritually grounded — a reminder that direction matters more than speed.
